Active Bystander Training
for Manchester, Liverpool and the North

WHAT DOES THIS TRAINING OFFER STUDENTS IN MANCHESTER, LIVERPOOL AND THE NORTH?

Active Bystander Training workshops for our Northern colleagues offers a full introduction to the concept of Active Bystander education and theory.

In essence, BWYS tailors Active Bystander Training for your sector by providing specific examples and solutions relevant to your teams' responsibilities. â€‹â€‹Active Bystander Training specifically tackles the derogatory impact on staff and working environment of:

  • negative attitudes;

  • negative beliefs;

  • stereotypes and;

  • all forms of microaggressions.

Bystander intervention helps to cultivate a culture of mutual respect and accountability whilst avoiding placing responsibility on one group to intervene and report workplace incidents.

The training empowers employees across your organisation to confidently address and challenge discriminatory behaviors that have been normalized in the workplace and society. In turn, these lessons and practices will drive significant change by establishing firm boundaries for unacceptable conduct and strongly reinforcing messages that oppose such behaviors.
