WHAT WE OFFER

Our LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual) Inclusion Training will give your team a solid understanding of how to build inclusive practice for, and break down the barriers experienced by, staff and service users who are LGBTQIA+. There is a particular focus on intersectionality to explore how to best support LGBTQIA+ people who sit at the most marginalised intersections of society.

Our training lays the foundations by exploring key terminology related to LGBTQIA+ communities and discussing the history of legislation impacting LGBTQIA+ people in the UK. Participants will leave with an understanding of how discrimination occurs in the workplace.

We introduce practices and approaches teams can take to build inclusive workplaces. There is also an opportunity to explore existing policies and discuss how to refine these to be even stronger for supporting LGBTQIA+ staff and service users.

OUTCOMES & DELIVERY

The intended learning outcomes are:

Become familiar with key terminology related to LGBTQIA+ communities
Understand the role of legislation (past and present) impacting LGBTQIA+ individuals in the workplace
Identify ways that LGBTQIA+ discrimination occurs in the workplace
Discover practices and policies that promote LGBTQIA+ inclusion to offer the best support and protection for your LGBTQIA+ staff and service users
Review existing policies in your workplace to ensure they offer the best support for your team

We deliver our training in-person at your UK offices and online to suit your needs.

We offer flexible session lengths:

Full-day in-person workshop
Half-day in-person workshop
90 min in-person workshop (Greater Manchester only)
90 min live online session

TARGET AUDIENCE

Our training is open to all members of a team and we can deliver it to up to 15 staff.

We can deliver to larger groups but this may incur an additional charge.
